MIPS endeavours to implement its business strategy in an ethical, socially and environmentally responsible way and to ensure that its products are innovative while the Company provides a safe and healthy work environment. Furthermore, MIPS endeavours to contribute to a better society by engaging in and supporting initiatives that help people live an active daily life, particularly by focusing on sport and outdoor activities, and improving their safety. MIPS works to continuously improve and develop its investments in this area.

CODE OF CONDUCT

MIPS has a code of conduct, in which we declare that the Company’s goal is to conduct business in accordance with all laws, rules and regulations regarding various licences, labour, salaries, employees’ health and safety, environmental and other applicable laws. The Company, including its supplier chain (contracted manufacturers), shall according to the code of conduct, treat all employees with respect, dignity and fairness and conduct business in such a way that the environmental impact is minimised. All the Company’s manufacturers will be ordered to follow the Company’s code of conduct. With regard to the manufacturers who are contracted by the Company’s customers, these manufacturers are usually subject to the code of conduct that has been established by the company’s customers. Currently, the Company is involved in a process to establish procedures for local inspection of compliance to the code of conduct by manufacturers, and it is expected that this will be managed by local staff who are employed by MIPS WFOE.

ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES

The Company allows its contracted manufacturers to continuously send samples of raw materials used to manufacture MIPS BPS for analysis to ensure that these materials follow the prevailing regulations and standards, such as the [RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU (on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment) and] the REACH Regulation EC 1907/2006 (concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals). As the Company has outsourced all production, there is no risk to the Company of contributing to environmental pollution. Regardless of the above, the Company endeavours to always ensure that its contracted manufacturers comply to the applicable environmental rules, standards and regulations.
